CHF Summit 2021: Shifting Gears

CHF Summit 2021: Shifting Gears
Australia and New Zealand Consumer Experience and Leadership in Health Summit

In view of the rapidly changing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting uncertainty around the duration of the outbreak and the length and extent of measures which will be required to control it, CHF has made a decision to move the Summit to 18-19 March 2021.

Dates for abstracts submissions and registrations have been updated and everything else remains the same. We look forward to welcoming you to our rescheduled conference in March 2021.

The Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) welcomes you to our inaugural Australia and New Zealand Consumer Experience and Leadership in Health Summit, Shifting Gears.

Successful health strategies, policies and programs depend on consumers involved at each stage of development, implementation and evaluation.

CHF Summit 2021: Shifting Gears will draw together consumers and other leaders from the health sector, to explore the latest research and developments which drive health towards a consumer-centred culture.

As Summit host, the Consumers Health Forum of Australia is the pre-eminent national organisation representing the interests of healthcare consumers and those with an interest in health consumer affairs. CHF is dedicated to achieving safe, quality, timely healthcare; with accessible health information, services and systems which work for everyone, particularly for those who most need it.

The CHF will offer organisations and consumers who want to be at the forefront of system change an opportunity to come together to explore, discuss and grow the concept and practice of consumer-centred care.

Some of the key topics that we will cover will be:

  • Recruiting, engaging and supporting consumer leaders at the local level
  • Patient and service activation and health literacy
  • Consumer perspectives on value in health care
  • Benefits of health consumer engagement and leadership
  • Collaborative practice and co-design of services
  • Consumer collaboration in research
  • New ways of working together for service improvement and system change.

The event will take place on 18 - March 2021 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney. If you care about consumer leadership and collaboration in health care, be part of the Summit and shifting gears to better drive consumer-centred health care in Australia and New Zealand.
